Mellow Mushroom continues Ohio Valley expansion

Less than a week after announcing two new Louisville, Ky., locations, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers is adding a Cincinnati area unit as well. The latest Mellow Mushroom will open Sept. 3 in West Chester.

"It has been a longtime dream to bring Mellow to the greater Cincinnati area," said Kevin Molony, principle owner. "Mellow Mushroom is a unique and fun environment for all ages, and with the presence of businesses and families in the area, we could not have asked for a better location."

The menu will feature a variety of handcrafted pizzas, hoagies, salads, calzones and appetizers, as well as options for vegetarians, vegans and kids and those on a gluten-free diet.

This Mellow plays homage to vintage-era theme parks, including a streetside fair Ferris wheel sign and tie dye awnings. Additional design elements include:

• Chasing LED illuminated roller coaster artwork that twists and turns throughout the rafters to the end of the line, where the track breaks free and sends the brand's Mel and Dude characters into free flight inside a red racer roller coaster car;
• Vending cart hostess stand;
• Claw retail display with Mellow Mushroom gear available for purchase;
• Pizza cutter toss carnival game; andZoltar fortune teller complete with glowing crystal ball.

The new Mellow also features two sun rooms, a large dining room and a seasonal covered patio. A Mellow Mushroom Beer Club is available with 24 craft beers on draft and a changing bottle selection. Finally, the new Mellow will feature trivia nights, family nights, beer tastings, special events and more.
