Denver-based pizza and pasta brand, Mici Handcrafted Italian, is taking advantage of that tubular green harvest of summer, the zucchini, by using it in zucchini noodles, to kick off the start of summer this Friday, along with a glass of rose.
Zucchini noodles have become increasingly popular as consumers seek more ways to incorporate vegetables into their diets, while lightening up their plates a bit for warmer weather.
Mici's is pushing the noodles as a pasta substitute in most any dish except lasagna, including the chain's creamy pesto and grilled chicken or Rosalie's Marinara and a meatball. To wash it all down in summer style, Mici has added Capasolda Rosé to the menu as a perfect zucchini or Pizza di Pina pairing.
To really drive home the new wine and noodle additions, and pick up some rewards members, the brand is giving anyone who enrolls for Mici Rewards by July 3, or current members, a free glass of the new wine with an entrée purchase between July 4 and 10. Those members who are under 21 will receive a free fountain drink.
