Not to ruin your day, but Tax Day is just around the corner and at least one pizzeria, Mici Handcrafted Italian, is taking some of the bite out of that annual rite of American passage by taking 8 percent off orders that Monday, April 15 — an amount equal to the sales tax at all of its current Colorado locations, a news release said.
Restaurants aren't actually permitted to forego the sales tax, so Mici's opted to take the same amount off its menu items instead. To get the discount on that Monday on all dine-in, carryout and delivery orders, guests must either mention or use the online code TAXDAY19 when ordering April 15. The brand has stores in Denver, Highlands Ranch and Lafayette, Colorado.
