Minsky's marks anniversary by treating first responders

March 21, 2014

Minsky's Pizza celebrated its 38th Anniversary this week by delivering free pizzas to Kansas City, Mo., area firefighters and police departments.

According to a news release, founder and president Gregg Johnson, general manager and partner Fred Meachum, and representatives from the 15 area Minsky's locations, delivered dozens of pizzas to firefighters and police throughout the city.

Kansas City Mayor, Sylvester James, gave Minsky's an official proclamation, and thanked the company for employing more than 50,000 residents throughout the past 38 years.

Kansas City area first responders will receive 25-percent off their orders at Minsky's from now through March 23. The offer can be redeemed in store, for takeout or through delivery.

"I have a great deal of respect for first responders, and without question, the firefighters and police of the Kansas City area have been here day in and day out for Minsky's — for all of our 38 years. We just wanted to do a little something to show our appreciation to them," Johnson said.
