Mod pizza raised more than $400,000 to help feed hungry kids, a news release said. The company said it will donate a dollar from each pizza sold from November 20-24, toward a goal of paying for a million meals in the next year for local communities.
Generosity Feeds will receive approximately $380,000 of the donation to help fund more than 30 meal-packing events across the country. Meals will be distributed through school backpack programs and food banks. To date, the chain has provided nearly 500,000 meals to people across the nation.
Remaining funds will go to food banks and feeding programs nationally, the chain said. Mod now has 400 locations in 28 states and the U.K.
