Nancy's Pizza creates Ditka-inspired pizza

To celebrate National Pizza Month, Nancy's Pizza has extended its collaboration with spokesperson and NFL Hall of Famer Mike Ditka to launch the new Da Ditka Pizza. Da Ditka Pizza includes cheese, meatballs, pepperoni, onions and green peppers.

"National Pizza Month is such a perfect time to introduce our newest menu item and celebrate our ongoing relationship with Mike Ditka," Dave Howey, president of Chicago Franchise Systems, said in a news release. "Da Ditka Pizza is the perfect blend of two Chicago favorites, Nancy's Pizza and Mike Ditka."

The new offering will be available each year for a limited time during football season kicking off Oct. 1 through Super Bowl Sunday. Da Ditka Pizza will be available in thin crust or the original stuffed pizza and will be offered at all Nancy's Pizza locations in Illinois, Georgia and California.

Each box of Ditka Pizza will feature a unique Ditka sticker and branding right on the pizza box.

Ditka is Nancy's Pizza’s official spokesperson. According to the release, he is also taking an active role in the company's nationwide expansion, helping scout new locations, creating new menu items and supporting marketing efforts.
