New study backs pizza sauce's cancer-fighting ability

999Today.com: A study conducted by the Pharmacology Institute in Milan, Italy, found that people who ate pizza once or several times a week were less likely to get cancer than those who didn't.

The study monitored the eating habits of 8,000 Italians and found that the risk of contracting multiple types of digestive-tract-related cancers dropped dramatically because of pizza sauce's high lycopene content.
