LONE TREE, Colo. — Forty-plus-unit Nick-N-Willy's World Famous Take-N-Bake Pizza is trading sweet treats for customer donations to victims of the recent tsunami disaster in the Indian Ocean.
According to a news release, now through the end of January, any Nick-N-Willy's customer who makes a donation to the fund will receive in return a free fountain drink or cookie. All donations will be passed along to the American Red Cross.
The chain recently delivered 80 pizzas to the Red Cross's Denver offices to support stateside aid workers and volunteers.
"It was the least we could do to thank those who are working overtime to provide relief to those in need," said Scott Adams, CEO of Nick-N-Willy's. "With the recent tsunami tragedy, it only made sense for us to provide a little relief to local workers, as well as serve as an official collection station."
