Old Chicago Pizza + Taproom launched its World Taps & Apps Tour this week, a summer promotion running through Aug. 16 that pairs international and local beers with new appetizers in celebration of the global soccer tournament, according to a press release.
The six-stop tour features three national beer partners — Kirin Ichiban, Stella Artois and Bell's Oberon — alongside three customizable local draft selections unique to each restaurant. The limited-time experience also spotlights the Berry Cherry Limeade BuzzBallz cocktail and two new permanent appetizers: Crispy Brussels & Cauliflower and Firecracker Shrimp.
Concurrently, the restaurant chain is expanding its permanent nationwide menu with four additions, including a Thai Chicken & Noodle Salad, a French Dip Sandwich, Lemon Butter Chicken and Chicken Rustica.
"Old Chicago has always been a place where people gather to celebrate the moments that bring them together, whether that's cheering on their favorite team, discovering a new beer or sharing great food with friends and family," Jeremy Underhill, senior director of operations, said in the press release. "The World Taps & Apps Tour combines all of those experiences in a way that feels especially fitting during this global soccer event. At the same time, we're continuing to invest in menu innovation with new items that give guests even more reasons to visit — we're creating memorable experiences that keep the excitement going beyond game day while rewarding them for coming back."
Guests can track their progress through the tour and unlock rewards via the OC Rewards mobile app or website. Founded in 1976, Old Chicago operates more than 52 restaurants across 21 states.
