DEDHAM, Mass. -- To help kick off National Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 6-12), Dedham, Mass.-based Papa Gino's, Inc. will donate 10,000 pizzas and 110,000 children's fire safety coloring sheets and fire hats to local fire stations during October.
The company has partnered with New England fire departments in the effort for the past nine years. This year, however, a total of 110 Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island fire departments will receive free pizzas for their Fire Prevention Open Houses as well.
"We're proud to sponsor a program that teaches valuable fire safety lessons to families across New England," said Tom Galligan, Papa Gino's president and CEO. "We commend NFPA on its sponsorship of this commemorative week for the past 80 years and all the firefighters who generously donate their time to teach important fire safety practices."
Papa Gino's is a 40-year-old quick-service Italian restaurant chain with more than 160 locations.
