For the first time in its 35-year history, Papa John's is adding a flavor to its original crust by baking the brand's garlic sauce and Parmesan-Romano cheese into the dough, according to a news release.
"There's a lot of fan love for Papa John's signature Garlic Sauce, so we knew our first-ever innovation of our original crust had to feature it. ..." Papa John's Senior Vice President of Menu Strategy and Innovation Paul Fabre, said in the release. "As we continue to evolve and grow our business, we're working to innovate more than ever while maintaining our commitment to quality."
The single-topping garlic Parmesan pie is being promoted with a special for those using the "CHEESYCRUST" CODE" to get a $10 pie. The crust can also be added to any Papa John's pizza. The brand has also created an LTO in its Garlic Parmesan Crust Luster pizza, comprised of 90 percent garlic Parmesan crust and a small inner circle of sauce, cheese and toppings. But it's only available at the following six stores and only through Nov. 10:
