Papa John's adds wings, seeks a lift

The Courier-Journal: Better ingredients might make better pizza, but Papa John's has come to realize it "don't mean a thing if you ain't got that wing."

Using a play on the 1930s Duke Ellington hit, the Louisville chain is about to roll out an advertising campaign for its new chicken wings.

With pizza sales lagging up just 1.2 percent in the third quarter over the same period last year and off slightly last month  Papa John's has added two flavors of chicken wings to its menu.
