Papa John's CEO offers Brits guide to American football

LOUISVILLE, Ky. —Papa John's in the United Kingdom is offering customers the "Official Brit's Guide to American Football." The handbook, available at Papa John's restaurants throughout London and on the Papa John's U.K. Web site, outlines the history and nuances of the sport, as well as provides tips to readers on how to enjoy the game from the comforts of home.
 
The Miami Dolphins are slated to play the New York Giants at Wembley Stadium in London Oct. 28. It will be the first time a regular-season NFL match will be played outside North America.
 
Papa John's has nearly 100 outlets in the U.K., and is the official pizza or corporate partner of multiple professional football teams in America, including the Dallas Cowboys, Denver Broncos, Indianapolis Colts, Philadelphia Eagles, Tennessee Titans, Washington Redskins and the Miami Dolphins.
 
Papa John's is led by CEO Nigel Travis, a Woodford, Essex native who fell in love with American football when first introduced to it in Miami in 1989.
