Papa John's launches first movie tie-in with 'Ice Age' promotion

LOUISVILLE, Ky. -- Papa John's has launched a nationwide promotion it calls the "Mammoth Pizza Meal," in partnership with Coca-Cola and Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment's animated feature movie, "Ice Age." The movie will be released on DVD and video on Nov. 26.

The deal includes a large one-topping pizza, Papa's Chickenstrips and a two-liter Coke for $13.99. Customers also receive a coupon for $3 off the price of the "Ice Age."

The Mammoth Pizza Meal promo began Nov. 4 and runs through Dec. 1 at participating Papa John's stores. A two-week national TV flight was launched in tandem with the promotion. Austin Kelly Advertising, Papa John's new agency of record, produced the spots. Papa John's also is promoting the offer through dedicated print and local radio ads.
