Papa John's taps Desmond Howard for anniversary promo

LOUISVILLE, Ky. --Papa John'shas enlisted pro football star Desmond Howard to help the company celebrate its 25th anniversary with a promotion dubbed "The Countdown to Kickoff."
John Schnatter founded Papa John's in 1984, in the broom closet of his father's tavern in Jeffersonville, Ind.
If the opening kickoff of the Super Bowl is returned for a touchdown, everyone who registers atwww.thecountdowntokickoff.combefore 6 p.m. on Feb. 1 will be eligible to receive a large, one-topping Papa John's pizza for 25 cents. Fans can also view a video commentary from Desmond Howard, who holds the record for the longest touchdown return in the history of the Super Bowl, and earn more special offers from Papa John's by displaying their football expertise.
