Papa John's to deliver pizza to astronauts

June 21, 2007

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — Astronaut Sunita "Suni" Williams, who has spent six months on the International Space Station, has been thinking about pizza as she prepares to return to solid ground.

Williams, who set the record for the longest single spaceflight by a woman during her ISS mission, was recently quoted as saying, "I can't wait for a good piece of pizza." Williams is slated to return to Earth on the space shuttle Atlantis.

As a special "thank you" for her time spent in space, Papa John's is offering Williams a free pizza of her choice, deliverable whenever she is able to receive it.

In addition, Papa John's will provide Williams and the Atlantis flight crew free pizza for a year.
