LOUISVILLE, Ky.—Just in time for the holidays, Papa John's is getting into the gift business with its Papa Card.
According a news release, the magnetic stripe, stored-value card is "re-loadable" and will be available in the company's U.S. units on Nov. 17. It can be purchased in any denomination between $10 and $100.
In September, Pizza Hut introduced its own stored-value gift card (see related story Pizza Hut intros stored-value holiday gift cards).
The Papa Card may be redeemed for carryout, delivery and online orders. It can be purchased over the phone, in person or online—and even delivered to a recipient's door.
Additionally, Papa Card purchasers will receive a coupon good for $7 off the new DVD movie "X2:X-Men United."
We're very excited to make the already-convenient pizza ordering process even more convenient by offering customers the Papa Card," John Schnatter, founder and CEO, said in the release.
