Papa Murphy’s adds gluten-free option

September 18, 2014

Papa Murphy's and Boulder Brands, the makers of Udi's Gluten Free branded products, today announced a partnership to bring Udi's Gluten Free pizza crust to Papa Murphy's locations. Papa Murphy’s stores will begin offering the gluten-free option this month and customers can order it with any toppings on a 12-inch Udi’s crust.

"There is a clear and growing demand for gluten-free offerings in the marketplace and we are pleased to partner with Udi's Gluten Free Foods giving customers a high quality, gluten-free option that fits their lifestyle," Papa Murphy’s CEO Ken Calwell said in a news release. "Fresh ingredients and a variety of premium toppings are hallmarks of our brand, which we believe pairs perfectly with Udi's commitment to tasty, high quality products."

The company notes that the certified gluten-free crust is topped in a shared kitchen that also handles ingredients with gluten.

Partnership with CBS EcoMedia

Papa Murphy’s also announced this week that it is funding the distribution of free backpacks filled with school-ready supplies to 1,200 low income Saracramento, California-area students. The funding for the supplies comes from Papa Murphy’s participation in CBS EcoMedia’s EducationAd program.

EcoMedia’s national non-profit partner, the Kids In Need Foundation, provided the school supplies and backpacks through its School Ready Supplies Program, according to a news release.
