Papa Murphy's launches thin crust pizzas

Papa Murphy's today announced it has rolled out a new product line of thin crust pizzas, called Gourmet Delite. The collection includes the Angus Steak and Roasted Garlic Pizza and the Spicy Fennel Sausage Pizza, both made on an artisan thin crust.

According to a news release, the line was created to cater to customers' increasing demands for lighter food and more sophisticated ingredients. 

"Consumers today are looking for a fresher, lighter and more sophisticated pizza experience and we believe our new Gourmet Delite artisan thin crust pizza collection offers all of that without sacrificing flavor or taste," CEO Ken Calwell said in a news release. "Our innovative culinary team hand-picked new artisan ingredients such as Angus steak, roasted garlic and spicy fennel sausage then added specialty blends of cheese, zesty herbs and sauces to offer a great tasting and thin crust pizza that customers have been craving."

  • The new Angus Steak and Roasted Garlic Pizza is topped with creamy garlic sauce, whole-milk mozzarella, Angus steak, roasted garlic, sliced mushrooms, green onions and aged parmesan.
  • The new Spicy Fennel Sausage Pizza is topped with creamy garlic sauce, whole-milk mozzarella, spicy fennel sausage, sun-dried tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, fresh spinach and aged parmesan.  

The lineup also includes:

  • Chicken Bacon Artichoke topped with creamy garlic sauce, whole-milk mozzarella, grilled chicken, bacon, marinated artichoke hearts, spinach, aged parmesan and herbs.
  • Herb Chicken Mediterranean topped with olive oil, chopped garlic, whole-milk mozzarella, grilled chicken, spinach, sun-dried tomatoes, feta and herbs.

Each Gourmet Delite pizza has less than 250 calories per slice and 25 percent less fat than original crust pizzas, the release said. They are available in a 14-inch large or 16-inch family size.
