Papa Murphy’s partnership supports Seattle area pediatric patients
Papa Murphy’s has partnered with CBS EcoMedia through its WellnessAd program to fund 24 Starlight Tablets for eight Seattle-area hospitals. According to a news release, Papa Murphy’s support to the Starlight Children’s Foundation will benefit an estimated 12,000 pediatric patients per year.
The hospitals receiving Starlight Tablets are Overlake Hospital Medical Center, Valley Medical Center, Skagit Valley Hospital, Seattle Children’s Hospital, Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, Pope’s Kids Place, Harrison Medical Center and Swedish Medical Center. Each hospital will receive three Starlight Tablets.
Healthcare professionals use Starlight Tablets as a resource to support the ongoing needs of kids while in the hospital. Housed in a protective cover that complies with hospitals’ infection control protocols, Starlight Tablets come loaded with Starlight educational programming, a list of recommended applications and a private social network for teens with chronic and life-threatening medical conditions, and their siblings.
"Papa Murphy’s recognizes the importance of improving the quality of people’s lives in the communities it serves," Paul Polizzotto, EcoMedia founder and president, said in the release. "This donation will help nearly 12,000 pediatric patients this year cope with the experiences of their illness, improve their health outcomes, and will support the emotional well-being of the entire family."
