September 4, 2006
DEDHAM, Mass. — Papa Gino's Pizzeria has hired New England Patriots linebacker Tedy Bruschi to promote the chain's Crowd Pleaser Campaign and to co-support Bruschi's Tedy's Team, a fund-raising organization helping the American Stroke Association and Train to End Stroke Foundation. Papa Gino's will donate $20,000 to the cause.
According to a news release, Bruschi replaces former Patriots kicker and Papa Gino's spokesman Adam Vinatieri, who now plays for the Indianapolis Colts.
The new campaign features Bruschi ordering a Papa Gino's Crowd Pleaser, which includes two options: one large and one small cheese pizza and the choice of an entrée salad, cinnamon sticks or toasted ravioli; or a second choice of two large cheese pizzas and choice of an entrée salad, cinnamon sticks or toasted ravioli. The ad campaign, which includes TV, radio and print, will begin in the second week of September. The promotion runs through Dec. 3.
