Pay phone call leads to ambush of pizza delivery driver

WALTHAM, Mass. -- Police are looking for two men who stole a pizza delivery driver's money and beat him with a table leg.

According to the Daily News Tribune, on the night of March 11, two assailants allegedly struck an unidentified Pizza Express driver over the head with a table leg and fled on foot with an undetermined amount of his money.

The robbers allegedly called for a pizza from a convenience store pay phone and then waited for the driver inside a vacant apartment.

When the driver arrived, the robbers invited him inside and attacked him. Police said the driver was not knocked unconscious, but was thrown to the ground and suffered minor injuries.
