SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — Peter Piper Pizza has introduced a new gift card program at some 40 restaurants in Arizona, San Diego and Los Angeles.

According to a news release, the electronic cards can be purchased in Peter Piper restaurants or online. Card balances can be checked onsite or at the company's Web site as well. The company plans a system-wide offering in 2006.
