Pie Five moves 2 into north Texas

Pie Five Pizza has signed two franchise deals to open restaurants in the northern Texas cities of Murphy and Prosper later this year, a news release said. 

Charlie Clark of Pie Squared Investments, who owned a Mr. Jim's in Sherman, Texas, for 12 years and managed three Cicis Pizza locations, will open a unit in November on Murphy Road. 

Shelia Afzal of Goldberg Funding, will open the Prosper, Texas, unit in December. Goldberg Funding owns five other Pie Five restaurants in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex in addition to franchising other restaurant concepts in the Dallas area. 

The Rave Restaurant Group-owned concept and its sister brand, Pizza Inn, now number approximately 300 stores worldwide.
