Pie Five Pizza Co. has hired a former Starbucks executive, Wendy Moats, as its new senior vice president of operations. She brings more than 25 years of restaurant and retail leadership experience to the job and has a history of increasing sales and minimizing costs, according to a company news release.
"Her energy is contagious which makes her the perfect fit for our customer-first culture," said Rave Restaurant Group CEO Randy Glier. "She will be an invaluable asset as we drive our new training and operations strategies aimed at increasing service and overall speed."
Moats will work with executive leadership to create an operating structure that enables growth, as well as accommodating impactful training and communication across the chain.
"As Pie Five continues to scale, I’m enthusiastic about creating a cohesive team environment across the system that ultimately translates in to a better dining experience for our guests and improved store volume and sales," she said.
Moats will lead efforts to boost guest experience and institute new initiatives, such as a new interior package and the introduction of online ordering with loyalty integration later this summer. She was previously Starbucks regional director of operations for 12 years in Dallas and Oklahoma, according to a press release. She was promoted to the Seattle Support Center, as the operations director for food operations and evening for the Americas and was responsible for improving food ordering for core food and introducing profitable food innovation strategies for the chain.
