Pieology Pizzeria has announced its strategic investment from Andrew and Peggy Cherng, the founders of Panda Restaurant Group, one of America's largest and most successful family-owned restaurant companies, with close to 1,900 locations globally.

"We are humbled by Andrew and Peggy's trust in Pieology as a leader in the fast casual custom pizza category; and we are truly honored to be partnering with the Cherng Family, for whom I have tremendous respect,” said Carl Chang, Pieology founder. "The Cherngs' generosity in allowing us access to PRG's valuable resources provides our organization and our franchise partners with unparalleled strategic advantages on so many levels, as Pieology continues to expand across the nation. I am beyond excited about our future."

Recently named the No. 1 Fastest Growing Chain by Technomic, Pieology is expanding in the U.S., with commitments throughout the country in various stages of development. With access to PRG's resources from real estate to vendor relations and buying power, Pieology is poised to grow, according to a company press release.

"Andrew and I are proud to support Pieology in its growth as a leader in the fast casual category. We appreciate aligning with organizations whose mission and values reflect our commitment to quality and people development," said Peggy Cherng.

Chang continued, "What the Cherngs have accomplished with Panda Restaurant Group is astounding, but what they have achieved culturally as an organization in bettering the lives of their employees, along with the positive impact made within their local communities with programs like Panda Cares, is perhaps the most impressive achievement of all."
