Pizza cheese maker Saputo appoints new CEO

TORONTO—Canadian dairy processor and pizza cheese maker Saputo has appointed Lino Saputo, Jr., president and chief executive officer of the company.

According to JustFood.com, Saputo served as president and chief operating officer of the company's U.S. cheese division until Jan. 1. According to the company, he since has worked to transition into his new post of CEO of the entire company.

He takes over from company founder Lino Saputo, who will continue on as chairman of the board.
