Pizza delivery driver beaten, robbed by trio

NEW ORLEANS -- A female Domino's Pizza delivery pizza driver was robbed and beaten by three men on June 25.

According to the Times-Picayune, at 10:55 p.m., as the driver parked her vehicle, a man appeared and started walking with her toward the house where she was to deliver the order. Two other men then jumped from behind a parked van, punched her in the face, hit her on the back of the head several times and knocked her to the ground.

Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Pat Yoes said the men took both the pizza and her money.

The driver was taken to a nearby hospital, treated and released.

Yoes said detectives suspect the three attackers made the call for the delivery intending to ambush the driver.
