SYCAMORE TOWNSHIP, Ohio -- A pizza delivery driver escaped abduction during an Oct. 17 robbery, but lost his wallet and car in the process.
According to WCPO.com, at 11 p.m., the driver, a 55-year old Filipino grandfather of four, who asked not to be identified, was entering his car after delivering an order of wings to a home. Two men approached him; one had a knife, and forced the driver into the backseat of the car. The other got behind the wheel and began driving.
"When my car started moving, I tried my best to get out," said the driver. "So, I jump and they ran away."
The suspects sped away from the scene, and the driver ran to the house where he'd just made the delivery and called 911.
Despite this robbery -- his second in the last two months -- and the minor injuries the driver suffered, he said won't stop delivering pizzas.
"Why would I let them dictate my life? If I do that, they win then. Not me," the driver told WCPO.
He expects to replace his stolen vehicle and return to work next week.
