Pizza delivery driver kills thief in attempted robbery

INDIANAPOLIS—Police here said a Pizza Hut delivery driver shot and killed a man who tried to rob him on the night of May 17.

According to the IndyChannel.com, at about 11 p.m., driver Ronald Honeycutt, 38, arrived to deliver a pizza at an apartment complex, when Jerome Brown, 20, tried to rob him at gunpoint.

Honeycutt wrestled Brown's gun away from him and fired 15 rounds, striking Brown several times. Brown later died at a local hospital.

The incident remains under investigation.
