CLAREMONT, N.H.—A crime ring centered on pizza delivery driver robberies has been broken with three arrests.
According to The Union Leader, Claremont and Lebanon police departments made the arrest following three October robberies.
The first theft took place in Claremont on Oct. 13, when a delivery driver was met at a residence by an armed man demanding money. The driver handed the money over and called police.
The second robbery took place in the same town three days later; a female Domino's Pizza driver was overwhelmed by two men who tried to steal her money. The woman screamed, and the would-be robbers fled on foot. She sustained minor injuries.
The third robbery took place in the town of Hanover on Oct. 26, when a driver was confronted by a gunman demanding money. The driver complied and the gunman fled on foot.
Matthew Bakaitis, 17, of West Lebanon, who police believe was involved in all three robberies, was arrested and charged with felony armed robbery.
Angela Bakaitis, 19, of West Lebanon, was arrested and charged her with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
Springfield, Mass., resident Steven Kitchen, 18, was arrested and charged with conspiracy to commit armed robbery.
All three suspects remain in police custody.
