DETROIT—A pizza delivery driver was found shot in a car in southwest Detroit at 11:30 p.m., Feb. 17.
According to ClickonDetroit.com, police said the unidentified driver is a male in his 40s who worked for Steve's Pizza. He was transported to Detroit Receiving Hospital and pronounced dead.
A witness said he saw the driver's Cavalier and a sport utility vehicle appearing to chase each other. The delivery driver apparently lost control of the car and struck a bridge, and man then got out the Cavalier and fled the scene. The driver of the SUV also left the scene.
Police suspect robbery is the motive for the shooting.
