Pizza dough acrobats to dazzle on Discovery 'Short Takes'

NEW YORK — Members of the World Pizza Champions acrobatic dough-tossing team will appear in multiple segments of the Discovery Times Channel Short Takes series.

According to a news release, the program will include footage of the team's freestyle dough throwing routine, The Matrix, which won them a gold medal in the 2005 World Pizza Games in Las Vegas, and a silver medal at the World Pizza Championships in Salsomaggiore, Italy, in March.

The performance will air on Oct. 14 at 9 p.m., and on Oct. 15 at 12, 5 and 8 a.m., as well as at 1 and 4 p.m.
