Pizza Hut close to bestowing VP title

DALLAS — Pizza Huthas announced the three finalists in the company's America's Favorite Pizza Fan contest. The winner of the contest will be chosen based on the most votes received online through April 22 at www.pizzahut.com/vpofpizza.
The winner will earn the honorary title of Vice President of Pizza and be awarded with a $25,000 "salary," three-month use of a "company car" and free pizza for a year in the form of Pizza Hut gift cards. Two first-prize winners will receive a pizza party for 100 guests and 25 runner-up winners will receive pizza for a month.
"We were blown away by the quality and creativity of the entries we received," said Bill Ogle, Pizza Hut chief marketing officer. "From cartoon raps, to production quality commercials and movie trailers, the range of entries was impressive. Narrowing it down to three candidates was no easy task, but our judges found the three entries that are most deserving of the honorary VP of Pizza title and reward. Now, it's up to America to decide the winner."
The three finalist candidates are:
Matt Conners (24, Rochester, N.Y.) – Matt's "Pizza Tron" entry shows the great lengths he is willing to go in support of his favorite pizza. Pizza Tron also has a fan Website at www.votepizzatron.com.
Nick Mathis (24, Crystal Lake, Ill.) – As the "Great American Pizza Fan" Nick shows his passion for Pizza Hut pizza and his quest to unlock its hidden benefits.
Chris Mundell (35, Los Angeles) – Chris offers his hilariously witty "Resume for VP of Pizza" in the form of a guitar acoustic. You can see more of Chris online at www.chrismundell.com.
In addition to the finalist videos, more than 100 user-generated entries can be viewed online at www.youtube.com/group/morepizzahut. Entries were judged based on originality, creativity and public appeal.
The winner will be announced on or after April 23 based on the most votes received at www.pizzahut.com/vpofpizza.
