Pizza Hut giving away free slices today

DALLAS — Pizza Hutis designating today, May 1, as "Free Slice of Pizza Day." The giveaway marks the company's rollout of Pizza Hut's new and improved Hand-Tossed Style Pizza.
Free slices of Hand-Tossed Style Pizza will be given away at participating Pizza Hut locations today from 3 to 5 p.m. The new Hand-Tossed Style Pizza features a more zesty sauce and a lighter crust, according to the company.
The pizza giveaway is the first assignment for the newly-named honorary vice president of pizza. Nick Mathis of Crystal Lake, Ill., is the winner of the Pizza Hut's America's Favorite Pizza Fan contest. As the contest winner, Mathis received a $25,000 prize, three month use of a "company car" and pizza for a year.
