Pizza Hut, Menulog hop to deliver brand Aussie-style

December 13, 2016

Pizza Hut and Australia’s largest food ordering platform, Menulog, are partnering to deliver the brand's products across Australia. The brand now has more than 250 Pizza Hut locations across the sprawling Pacific Ocean nation with 70 more planned. Menulog has more than 8,000 restaurant partners and is the nation's only food delivery service with national reach and scale, according to a news release.

"Pizza is Australia’s favorite meal for home delivery. In fact, it’s already the most-ordered dish through Menulog," said Australia Pizza Hut CEO Lisa Ransom. "This new partnership is a great way to give our customers a more convenient way of ordering from our largest-ever network of stores across Australia."

Pizza Hut announced earlier this year that it will transform more than 50 Eagle Boys locations in Australia into Pizza Huts, thus creating the largest pizza network in  Australia with 320 locations nationwide.

"We’ve seen exceptional growth in the number of nationally established outlets, like Pizza Hut, coming onto both Menulog and EatNow this year; a trend we see increasing in 2017," said Menulog Commercial Director Rory Murphy. "We’re looking forward to continuing to work with local franchises to not only help drive orders and grow profitability for restaurant owners, but to continue to offer consumers a greater choice of cuisine for pickup and delivery in their local area."

With the brand now under Australian ownership and management, Pizza Hut will now focus on building a stronger, customer-centric leadership position in the country, further embracing digital innovations and trends and growing its network across the country, according to the release.
