&pizza marks 1st international expansion with 10-store India deal

Latitude Food Group, the franchisor and operator of Washington, D.C.-based &pizza, has signed a master franchise agreement with The 90s Venture to bring the pizza concept to India, according to a press release.

The deal marks a significant milestone for LFG, coming five months after its formation and representing the first international expansion for its portfolio. The agreement includes a commitment to open at least 10 &pizza restaurants by 2032, with the first location slated to open in Mumbai in 2027.

The 90s Venture will lead market development and sub-franchising in India, working with LFG Chief Development Officer Brett Willis to select real estate targets. Willis has overseen the brand's recent domestic growth into markets including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Nevada.

LFG, which was formed to unite fast casual and quick service concepts with an unconventional spirit, said franchising will be central to its long-term strategy. The company noted that the localized, community-driven approach used at its East Coast locations will be applied to the expansion in India.

"India represents a compelling growth market for &pizza, especially in high-energy cities like Mumbai," a representative from The 90s Venture said in the release. "With strong leadership and following the brand's successful resurgence in the U.S., we're confident &pizza will translate well internationally. Our priority is of course scaling and developing the brand across India, but doing so in a way that's true to &pizza's DNA while also aligning with local culture so that the overall experience feels local and not simply imported."

&pizza has locations across the East Coast in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington D.C., Maryland and Virginia, and will soon be entering Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Nevada and expanding internationally, with the India development.
