Seattle Post-Intelligencer: SEATTLE — Jet City Pizza's David Northrup doesn't like people messing with his company's name or logo. In recent years, the Woodinville pizza chain owner has forced two competitors to eliminate the Seattle skyline from their logos because they allegedly violated a 7-year-old trademark held by Jet City Pizza.
Now in his latest trademark defense, Northrup has filed a federal lawsuit against Kent-based City Pizza for using a city skyline in coupons, logos and other marketing materials.
"It is obvious," said Northrup. "They are pretty much riding on our coattails."
