Pizza Patrón plans expansion in Fresno, Calif.

November 28, 2011

Pizza Patrón has signed a development agreement with California Brand Development I-99 LLC to bring 20 stores to the Highway 99 corridor of the Fresno, Calif., area within the next 4 years.

The construction of three stores is already underway and the first is expected to open by the end of this year.

"As we accelerate our growth momentum heading into 2012, we are very excited about expanding our presence in California," said Andrew Gamm, brand director for Pizza Patrón. "In the past 20 years, the Hispanic population in Fresno has grown from 35 percent to over 50 percent today. The soaring growth of Latino communities makes Fresno a perfect place for Pizza Patrón to serve."

In 2007, Pizza Patrón launched its Pizza por Pesos program. Every Pizza Patrón location across the U.S, including the upcoming new stores in Fresno, accepts Mexican pesos (bills only) as a method of payment.

"Fresno has a large Hispanic demographic that will truly appreciate the quality and value that Pizza Patrón provides," said Dave Early, partner of California Brand Development I-99 LLC.

Pizza Patrón is headquartered in Dallas and marked the opening of its 100th restaurant in 2011 with locations in seven states and 85 more under development.
