Dallas, Texas-based Pizza Patrón has launched its $3.99 large pepperoni lunch pizzas for a limited time, the company announced in a press release.

The promotion runs through August 2015 and features a large pepperoni pizza for $3.99 between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. every Monday through Friday at all participating locations during the promotional period.

"We already know this promotion will be very popular with our customers based on the results of our market testing," said Andrew Gamm, executive vice president for Pizza Patrón, in a statement. "One thing we didn't anticipate was the large increase in school and business orders during lunch. This was an unexpected surprise during our testing and proved that the deal works really well with school and business budgets for lunch parties and events."

Gamm also reported that when the company ran the $3.99 lunch deal in test traffic increased during prime business periods.
