Pizza Pizza intros new gourmet salad line

TORONTO—Pizza Pizza, a 350-unit chain based here, introduced a new line of Gourmet Salads on May 10.

The offerings include three new salads:

* Strawberry Sensation: strawberries, goat cheese, chicken strips, iceberg and romaine lettuce, maple-flavored pecans and orange poppy seed dressing.

* Tuscan Chicken: sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, goat cheese, chicken strips, iceberg and romaine lettuces and a sun-dried tomato pesto dressing.

* Mandarin Chicken: Mandarin oranges, snow peas, four cheeses, chicken strips, romaine and iceberg lettuces, sliced almonds and Oriental sesame dressing.

The salads join two others on the Pizza Pizza menu: Traditional Caesar Salad and fresh Garden Salad.

Among Pizza Pizza's other healthful offerings are a trans-fat-free dough, whole-wheat crusts, reduced-fat pepperoni and part-skim mozzarella.
