Pizza Pizza to sponsor Montreal Canadiens, ramps up franchise growth

MONTREAL — Pizza Pizza Limited announced the start of a sponsorship program with the Montreal Canadiens and initiated the search for franchisees in Quebec.

 

According to a news release, Pizza Pizza will become one of the Canadiens' official partners and the exclusive pizza vendor at seven concession counters for all events at the Bell Centre, the home of the National Hockey League club. In addition to operating the concession counters, Pizza Pizza will have a presence at all home games and special events.

 

"The expansion Pizza Pizza is undertaking in Quebec is consistent with the company's overall growth strategy outlined earlier in the year," said Daniel Vukovich, chief operating officer of Pizza Pizza Ltd. "This includes growth through existing markets, new consumer segments such as the health-conscious consumer, additional day-parts — lunch, for example — as well as other expansion opportunities.
