Pizza Pizza trading slices for cell phones in recycling effort

TORONTO — Pizza Pizza is working in conjunction with Pitch-In Canada to encourage the recycling and refurbishment of old cell phones.

According to a news release, Pizza Pizza will give a free slice of pizza to anyone who brings in an old cell phone in April. Pitch-In-Canada will then refurbish the phones for no-cost use by Canadians who can't afford them, but need them.

The chain anticipates receiving 10 to 15 cell phones at each of its 400 units.
