CROYDON, England -- The manager of a Share Pizza restaurant got the best of an armed robber who threatened him with a hammer and demanded cash.
According to ThisIsLocalLondon.com, the suspect fled empty-handed during the attempted robbery on May 5, when the manager came at him with a knife.
The ordeal began when a man asked to use the toilet in the restaurant, but was told the operation was closed. He returned minutes later armed with a hammer and demanded money.
The manager told the suspect he would get him some money, and then walked to the back of the shop. He then returned with a large knife, and the robber fled.
