Pizza@ soon to be @Puerto Rico

Pizza@ USA Inc. has signed a deal to open its first Puerto Rico location in Canovanas. Puerto Rico-based group, Karma Inc. has been mulling the franchise for a while, according to a news release. 

"I had my first Pizza@ experience while in Tavares, Florida on business in 2016. I was very impressed with the operation and of course blown away by the pizza," Karma CEO Justin Turri said in the release. "As a result of hurricane Maria I had the opportunity to expand the restaurant offerings of the multi-million dollar expansion and redevelopment of my property underway at The Outlet at Route 66 in the city Canovanas and can think of no better place to bring the first pizza@ location to Puerto Rico."

Six Pizza@ restaurants are under construction or operating in Florida, including two franchised locations. The brand's first location was opened in Orlando three years ago. Additional expansion in Puerto Rico is planned, along with the possibility of development on other nearby island nations and in Central America, according to Pizza@ CEO Troy Barton. 

"Justin's vision of pizza@ expansion in Puerto Rico and on other nearby island nations and Central America, where he already does business made him a must-have partner for our origination," Barton said in the release.
