Los Angeles-based Pizza Studio has signed a multiunit franchising deal with Luke Strockis of LND Restaurants Inc. According to a news release, this is the brand's 16th franchise deal.
The agreement calls for 10 Pizza Studio locations in the San Gabriel Valley area of Los Angeles, with the first one opening this summer.
Strockis was the first franchisee of Buffalo Wild Wings in California and has won multiple awards from Buffalo Wild Wings, including having five of the highest grossing stores in the nation, the release said.
Since its franchise program began in 2013, Pizza Studio has signed deals for more than 190 units in California, Arizona, Minneapolis/St. Paul and New York.
“Pizza Studio is very attractive to a restaurant operator like me,” Strockis said. “We carefully evaluated all the players in this fast-casual pizza segment and quickly concluded that Pizza Studio had the best elements of success, hands down.”
Pizza Studio was founded in 2012 by Samit Varma and Ron Biskin.
