PizzaRev continues SoCal expansion

Los Angeles-based PizzaRev will host a grand opening celebration Dec. 5 for its newest restaurant location in Woodland Hills, Calif.

PizzaRev serves signature "Roman-style" thin and crispy customized pizzas in a create-your-own format, for $7.95. Once created, the pizza is placed in an open-flamed, stone-hearth oven, where temperatures can exceed 900 degrees, and is served hot in less than 3 minutes.

Woodland Hills marks the third location for the concept, which made its debut in July after a "test kitchen" location opened in Northridge, Calif., to gauge consumer interest.

The concept is the brainchild of music industry veterans Irv Zuckerman and Rodney Eckerman, who have plans to grow across Los Angeles County in the coming months.

PizzaRev's second location opened in Studio City along Ventura Boulevard's "Restaurant Row" in September.
