The build-your-own pizza concept opened its first location in Colorado by hosting a fundraiser for giveSPORTS.

August 13, 2015

PizzaRev came to Colorado in a big way, according to a recent press release. The build-your-own pizza concept opened its first Colorado location and celebrated it by putting on a “Pizzas for a Purpose” fundraising event, with the intent of benefiting giveSPORTS. Guests were instructed to pay what they thought was fair for their pizza and were suggested to give an $8 donation to giveSPORTS, which is a partnership of "A Precious Child" and "I Have A Dream Foundation of Boulder County." The two organizations’ mission is to promote sports by helping children find sports equipment and fee scholarships.

"The partnership between A Precious Child and the ‘I Have A Dream Foundation’ of Boulder County has helped many underprivileged youth participate in sports in Boulder over the years through the giveSPORTS program," Carina Martin, A Precious Child Founder and CEO, said in the release. “We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to collaborate with PizzaRev on this event. It will enable us to grow our impact and help local youth build their self-confidence, skills and teamwork through sports.”

Randy Chilton, Pizza Rev’s Boulder location franchise owner, added his support.

"We are passionate supporters of organizations that positively impact our community, and we admire the work ‘I Have a Dream’ Foundation and A Precious Child have done to help children have brighter futures," he said. "We look forward to supporting the giveSPORTS program and introducing the Boulder community to the PizzaRev-olution!”
