Pizzeria owner leaving with day's take, shot and robbed

Denver Post: As Khalid Javaid closed his Englewood, Colo., pizzeria at about 11:30 p.m. Dec. 5, a thief robbed him of the day's cash and shot him in the abdomen.

"Basically he just grabbed the bag from him and shot him from the side," said Usman Gilani, Javaid's employee. Gilani said Javaid is in serious condition, but is expected to recover.
