Pizzeria shooter showed signs of instability

New York Times: A man who allegedly shot a New York pizzeria worker and two auxiliary policeman Wednesday night may have done so to avenge a friend who had been fired from the restaurant. The man had been ejected from the restaurant several times in recent months for being disruptive.
